Repurposed disposable
film camera lens
Each Pez Pocket features a genuine disposable camera lens, optimized to capture the authentic analog look on your digital camera. Plus, by using Pez Pocket, you're helping reduce plastic waste and giving old disposable cameras a second life.
Analog photography lovers seek to capture the imperfect, nostalgic look of 90's disposable cameras. This aesthetic is hard to achieve authentically with modern cameras. While digital filters and editing software can do the job, the results often feel artificial.
Pez Pocket achieves this effect using a genuine lens with authentic optical features, delivering the disposable camera aesthetic naturally, without the need for digital editing.
Just like in disposable cameras, Pez Pocket uses a fixed infinity focus. Everything at a distance of 1.5 meters or more is in focus, bringing back the simplicity and minimalism of point-and-shoot photography style as it used to be, without worrying about any other technical settings.
While certain apps can replicate the retro style, images often lack the original imperfections that make analog photography so unique. Pez Pocket features a recycled and genuine 90's lens, extracted from a real disposable camera, providing a natural analog image directly into your digital camera sensor and delivering the authentic analog aesthetic without the need for digital editing.
Make sure to attach your Pez Pocket correctly. Align the red dot on the lens with the one on your camera. Then, rotate Pez Pocket clockwise (except for Nikon Z models, which rotate counter-clockwise). You should hear a ‘click,’ indicating that it’s securely in place. If your camera still doesn’t recognize the lens, you’ll need to enable the “no-lens shooting” or “no-lens release” option in your camera’s settings menu. This will allow the camera to capture images with a non-electronic lens attached.
Pez Pocket is designed exclusively for digital mirrorless cameras. The mount design required for the disposable lens to focus correctly is not compatible with the lens-to-sensor distance of digital SLR cameras (DSLR), such as Canon EF models.
